Tandem Wine Selection

Corcelettes Estate Winery Syrah Similkameen Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Succulent, fresh, spicy.
Corcelettes is a boutique winery settled on 150 acres of the Similkameen Valley's Upper Bench in Keremeos. Grown on the estate gnarly and coarse soils the wine was aged in oak barrels (90% French 10% American) for 16 months.
It's an honest expression of the variety, think St. Joseph meets Similkameen Valley, with it's succulent nose of roasted herbs, bacon fat, blackberries and dried flowers, dusty earth and oodles of black pepper aromas. Mirroring the nose, the palate is savoury, spicy and plenty fresh.

Umberto Cesari Sangiovese Riserva, Emilia~Romangna, Italy
Readers rated this wine:
Fragrant, generous, supple.
Fragrant rose petal and sweet cherry, vanilla, chocolate, balsamic, star anise and pipe tobacco aromas lead to a palate that is supple balanced and approachable. Generous cherry flavours are layered with leather, tobacco and spice. It's a medium-bodied red, bright and fulfilling.
