New Review: April 2025 Forest floor and cedar, cherry and raspberry, wild herbs, bacon fat and leather aromas lead to a juicy palate brimming with juicy red fruit. Lovely purity here; it is seamless and earthy with classic Pinot character. ©copyright 2024 Daenna Van Mulligen Wine Scores Reviewed - April 21st, 2015
Juicy, silky, classic.
Michael Bartier makes honest wines; he trusts the site and the fruit to dictate the wine. For wine club members only, the Pinot Noir (97%) comes from Kamloops and the Petit Verdot (3%) from the Similkameen Valley. It was aged 17 months in neutral French oak barrels and tank. A warmly fragrant wine with lovely sweet cherry and raspberry aromas, vanilla and purple flowers, pipe tobacco and cedar, vanilla and white pepper. It's light-bodied and charming but also earthy and thoughtful. Good length and balance.
