Kaiken Reserva Especial Malbec, Mendoza Argentina
Readers rated this wine:
Value, classic, savoury.
Grapes for this Malbec are grown on an estate vineyard in the region of Agrelo, which rests at 950 meters above sea level, and planted roughly 60 kilometers from Mendoza city. Like most others from Mendoza, this inky-ruby hued wine offers good value and delivers spice, wild berries, dried herbs, coffee grounds and bacon fat aromas. Supple on the entry it is medium-full bodied with distinct salty and savoury flavours culminating in a spiced cocoa finish. Smooth and balanced and approachable.
A straightforward red for hearty stews or soups, hard cheeses, pizzas or meat and hearty pastas. ©copyright 2017 Daenna Van Mulligen
