Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars Estate Cuvee Pinot Gris, Okanagan Valley
Readers rated this wine:
Delicacy, fresh, creamy.
From 37-year-old vines, which have been hand harvested, this consistently thoughtful Estate Cuvee Pinot Gris was fermented with native yeasts, primarily in foudre and the remaining 25% in stainless steel. A portion was aged sur-lie in barrel. It has a delicacy on the nose; Asian pear and spring flowers, pomelo, lime and mineral aromas lead to a creamy palate. It is slick with good complexity; the oak shows on the palate but doesn't overwhelm, rather adds texture and dimension.
