Araldica 'GPG' Garganega~Pinot Grigio, Garda, Italy
Readers rated this wine:
Silky, seamless, lovely.
Araldica is a third-generation, family-operated co-operative based in Piedmont. They work with over 230 Piedmont grower members and produce the high quality Piedmont wines from the most prestigious winegrowing DOC and DOCG regions including Barbera, Gavi, Langhe, Moscato, Barolo, Barbaresco, Monferrato and Roero.
This wine is produced from Garganega grapes grown in the Garda DOC region between Lake Garda and Vicenza, with the addition of 15% Pinot Grigio. It has a golden hue and aromas of honey and pine, candle wax and yellow apples, melon rind, honey and undertones of green almonds. It has a rich but fresh palate with similar yellow fruit, herbs, green almond and mineral flavours to mimic the nose. Good value; a solid weekday dinner white.
