El Esteco 'Blend de Extremos' Cabernet~Cabernet, Argentina
Readers rated this wine:
Balanced, fresh, structure.

This Cabernet is made from vines planted in at 1700MASL in the Calchaqui Valley in Salta's Cafayate, and from plantings at 2000MASL in Chanar Punco, Catamarca; regions known for high sun exposure, low humidity and broad thermal amplitude. Black current aromas are woven with red currents, clove, cinnamon, star anise, dark chocolate, woodsy cedar notes, dried bay leaf and a hint of cigar. It's fresh with lovely balance and structure. Red fruit dominates the palate supported by tobacco, spice, leather and carob flavours.
Pair with hard cheeses, BBQ, heart soups and roasts.
