Oak Bay 'Northern Light' Reserve Sparkling, Okanagan Valley
Readers rated this wine:
Fizzy, tangy, umami.
A traditional method sparkling from St. Hubertus Estate Winery in Kelowna, this pink fizz has been a well-kept secret and is already a decade old. It's a blend of Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir spent 80 months sur-lie.
It has a dark berry colour and umami aromas of lemon curds and rhubarb, spice and fleur de sel with mineral undertones. The palate is fizzy as expected, has a kiss of sweetness, and flavours of stewed red berries and cherry and orange peel. Good tanginess here.

Oak Bay Foch, Okanagan Valley BC,
Readers rated this wine:
Fresh, straightforward, spicy.
Ah, BC's polarizing rare variety. It does have its followers here though, and most of it's made from long running family vineyards. Those who love Marachel Foch have an almost cult-like reverence for this grape.
This vintage is pretty standard for Oak Bay; spicy, meaty and savoury with notes of leather, iodine and wild red berries. The palate follows suit; it is fresh and straightforward with a spicy finish and decent balance overall.
Pair: Grilled beef, wild mushroom ragout, braised short ribs, aged strong cheeses.

Oak Bay Gamay Noir, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Charming, honest, juicy.

Chill for 10 minutes before serving and I promise this wine will reward you. A consistently charming and honest red, it delivers juicy red berries, potpourri (dried violets and cedar chips), star anise and leather. Light bodied and smooth it has hints of pepper and tealeaf woven with red berries. Straightforward and buoyant - a great food wine.
Pair: Squash ravioli with brown butter and sage sauce, soft cheeses, robust fish dishes, white meats.

Oak Bay Vineyard Reserve Riesling, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Racy, bold, pristine.
Harvested from a block of 1978 Riesling this stunner of a Riesling (a feather in the cap of St. Hubertus') offers bold petrol, lime marmalade and snappy green apple aromas. The palate has a kiss of sweetness on the entry then grows more crunchy and tangy. It has a long pristine and racy finish.
