Straightforward, savoury, value.
A true value red the Los Cardos is named for the bright, wild thistles, which grow in Mendoza.
Expect charred herbs, smoked meat and wild blackberry aromas woven with savoury spice and leather. The palate echoes the nose, it is medium bodied and fresh with a medium-length finish.
A good everyday dinner red for grilling, hearty pastas or rich soups.

Supple, fragrant, generous. Harvested from Dona Paula's estate in Gualtallary (at 1,350 meters [almost 4,430 ft] above sea level) the Uco Valley's Tupungato, it's a terroir with cool climate and mineral, rocky soils.
This is a consistently pleasing Malbec with lashings of raspberry jam, vanilla, blackberry and licorice, violets, chocolate and fragrant spices. The palate is supple but fresh, generous fruit is layered with spice, coffee, fine cocoa and tobacco, there is a hint of apricot on the finish, which is laced with raspberry.

This is an outstanding Malbec, which has a plush nose laden with wild black and red berries, toasted spices and coffee, dried violets and tobacco with undertones of black chocolate and coconut husk. It's a powerful wine but the entry is silky; it is woven and has wonderful balance. It's a generous wine with a lengthy finish.
