Haywire Gamay, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Charming, juicy, lovely.
Made entirely from Gamay grapes that were whole cluster fermented in small open-top tanks concrete tanks with twice daily punch downs.
Likely the best Okanagan Gamay I've had recently, this charming version suggests aromas of spiced cherries, rainforest floor, vanilla, high-toned red berries, pipe tobacco, purple flowers and a hint of hazelnut. A mild spritz hits the tongue and it has juicy fruit and oodles of purity. Red berry, cocoa and sweet spices flavours are woven with savoury undertones. Lovely.

Haywire Gamay, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Pristine, bouncy, joyful.
Made entirely from Gamay grapes that were de-stemmed in concrete tanks and open top fermenters and fermented with native yeasts before being aged in concrete then bottled unfiltered.
Pristine aromas of juicy red currents and raspberry, white pepper and star anise, sweet tea and wild herbs. The palate is supple with a silky texture and juicy red fruit and spice. It's a joyful wine, bouncy and balanced with fine cocoa tannins and faint leathery undertones.

Haywire Pinot Gris, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Zesty, creamy, slick.
This wine was naturally fermented and then aged concrete tanks for 8 months. Made from Pinot Gris from Haywire's organic Switchback vineyard, which was whole cluster pressed into large format concrete tanks for fermentation using natural yeast. It was then aged for six months on lees. Smoked lemons and hints of bread dough, peach stone, clay and starfruit aromas lead to a palate that is both zesty and creamy. It's slick and racy with restrained fruit and a lemon-pepper flavoured finish.
New look, new label.

Haywire Pinot Noir, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Earthy, silky, fresh.
This wine was sourced from four Okanagan Valley sites and was 50% whole cluster pressed and 50% whole berry pressed. It was naturally fermented and aged in oak foudre and concrete tanks.
It's a definitively earthy Pinot; aromas of beet greens and carrot tops and lashed with sour cherry and pomegranate, wet stone, leather and fine spice aromas. It's fresh and has has a slight prickle on the tongue and flavours to echo the nose along with cocoa and wild herbs. The texture is silky.

Okanagan Crush Pad 'Narrative' Pinot Blanc, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Fresh, floral, fruity.
Purity of aromas; yellow fruits and spring blossoms with honey and a seam of mineral, lead to a fresh and honest wine with good complexity that is smoothly woven. A kiss of tangerine lingers on the finish.
Pair: shellfish, spicy noodle salads white meats or most appetizers.
