Bodegas Franco-Espanolas 'Bordon' Crianza, Rioja, Spain
Readers rated this wine:
Fragrant, alluring, value.
This aged red is a blend of Tempranillo (80%) and Garnacha that was matured 12 months in American oak before bottling and receiving additional years in bottle. It's impressively youthful despite its age; alluring aromas of strawberry compote, vanilla and licorice, cherries and roses makes for a fragrant sniff. On the palate, dried strawberries, tealeaf and fine spice flavours lounge on a fresh but thoughtful palate. Great value, and a wine to pair with Spanish cheeses and tomato-based dishes.

Earthy, savoury, levity.
This aged blend of Tempranillo (80%) with Garnacha (15%) and Mazuelo (5%) was matured 24 months inwhite American oak before bottling and receiving additional years in bottle.
Iodine and preserved cherries, tealeaf, leather and spice aromas lead to a savoury and restrained palate with good levity, which is harnessed by distinct earthy flavours. Fine spice and cocoa trail on the finish.
Pair: roasted meats, pastas in red sauces and hearty soups and stews

Bodegas Franco-Espanolas 'Diamante', Rioja Spain
Readers rated this wine:
Rustic, honeyed, substance.
I've been told that this semi-sweet blend of Viura and Malvasia is the number one selling Rioja white wine in the world. It shows earthy aromas of mushrooms and wild honey alongside bruised peaches and melon with a suggestion of wildflowers. It's off-dry with nice palate weight; it has substance and a sort of savoury funky rustic character.

Bodegas Franco-Espanolas Rioja Bordon, Rioja, Spain
Readers rated this wine:
Fresh, dry, light.
Made from Garnacha, with Rioja's white grape, Viura, this pale salmon-hued rose offers sweet red berries, tangerine, tobacco and a whiff of minerals. The palate is light, dry and zesty. It is straightforward and a great quaffer, it offers tart red fruit, cedar and citrus flavours and will pair nicely with charcuterie, fish, appetizers and patio sipping.
