Wild Goose Pinot Gris, Okanagan BC
Readers rated this wine:
Honey, floral, juicy.
More than 25 years have passed since Adolf Kruger started Wile Goose. This Pinot Gris is sourced from vineyards in Penticton and Summerland.
They have had great success with their white wines and this Pinot Gris is no exception. Creamy golden pears, yellow apples and peach with honey and summer flowers. It is sweet and fresh on the palate, lively acidity keeps it in check. Expect a creamy weight and pristine orchard fruit flavours wrapped in an off-dry package.

Wild Goose Vineyards 'Red Horizon', Okanagan BC
Readers rated this wine:
Fresh, supple, fruity
The Kruger family established Wile Goose Vineyards in Okanagan Falls in 1984, and since 2021 has been owned by Burrowing Owl Vineyards in Oliver. The Red Horizon is Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot and Included for the first time in 2020 is Dunkelfelder, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. All the grapes were harvested from vineyards in Oliver and Osoyoos. The components were vinified and barrel-aged separately for 16 months, in 25% French and 75% American oak, afterward they were assembled into the blend. The wine was then bottled and left to mature further before release.
It has an initially very fruity nose which includes concord grapes and blackberry, cherry cola, vanilla, baking spices and warm chocolate aromas. It's fresh and supple, approachable with a plush weight and a more textural finish trailing tobacco and spice flavours.

Wild Goose Vineyards Autumn Gold, Okanagan BC
Readers rated this wine:
Honey, floral, approachable.
The Kruger family established Wile Goose Vineyards in Okanagan Falls in 1984, and since 2021 has been owned by Burrowing Owl Vineyards in Oliver. It's been a decade since I've sampled this blend of Riesling Gewurztraminer and Pinot Blanc, which has been around for as long as I can remember and is considered their flagship wine.
It's a fruit-cup (think pear, melon, apple, peach and mango) of aromas along with honey and wild flowers. It's off-dry with lovely weight and concentration. Fruity and approachable, it has a grapefruity finish and is well-suited to spicier cuisines.
