Mission Hill Family Estate Winery 'Terroir Collection-Whispering Hill' Merlot, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Brooding, muscular, chocolaty.
This organic Merlot comes from a west Oliver site and was aged 14 months in French oak barrels, of which 20% were new. You can expect aromas of plum cake, fragrant baking spices and chocolaty notes with undertones of pipe tobacco and wild sage. The palate is textural with powdery tannins; dusty plums, tobacco, toasted oak and spice flavours mirror the nose. It is a brooding and muscular style with restrained fruit.

Mission Hill Family Estate Winery 'Vista's Edge' Cabernet Franc, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Jubilant, generous, fragrant.
The Vista's Edge Vineyard is located in Oliver East at an elevation of 330-386 MASL. The soil here is sandy loam with seams of subsoil gravel.
It's a stunning example of this varietal, and was aged 15 months in French oak (25%) new.
Aromas of boysenberries and dusty red plums are layered with fine spice, vanilla, cedar chips and dark cocoa. Despite it's supple weight and generosity on the palate it has levity and a jubilant character. The structure is here as is the very important balance.

Mission Hill Family Estate Winery Organic Merlot, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Sweet, smoky, textural.
Born from the Reed Creek Vineyard, which has been farmed organically for 40 years, this Terroir Collection Merlot offers sweet and smoky notes of baking spices and bacon fat, black plums and dried strawberries with vanilla and pipe tobacco. It has a supple attack and good power. I'm guessing is is unfiltered from its opacity; it's fresh but not bouncy. The finish is textural and trails dark cocoa flavours.

Mission Hill Family Estate Winery Reserve Brut, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Fizzy, fresh, approachable. The second release of Mission Hill's charmat method (second fermentation in tank) sparkler is made from estate Pinot Noir (10%) and Chardonnay (90%) from Black Sage and Golden Mile vineyards. Fresh, fizzy and approachable it suggests aromas of tree fruits and honey, acacia, lemongrass and lime zest. It has a creamy mousse and delicate fruit flavours. Lively and fun. If you like Prosecco, this will be right in your wheelhouse.

Readers rated this wine:
New, fresh, approachable. This charmat method sparkler is made from estate Pinot Noir (10%) and Chardonnay (90%) from Black Sage and Golden Mile vineyards. It is fresh and approachable with a good fizz; aromas of tree fruits and honey, delicate citrus and orchard blossoms lead to a tangy palate with a kiss of sweetness. Very Prosecco-esque in character you'll find it approachable and fun. The finish has a juicy mineral quality to it.
