Mission Hill Family Estate Reserve Rose, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Delicious, tangy, joyful.
Now with three tiers of rose wines, Mission Hill's reserve tier blush is made from almost equal parts Merlot, Shiraz and Pinot Noir from estate vineyards in Osoyoos and Oliver. According to Corrie Krehbiel, head winemaker, 2020 was one of the most idyllic vintages of her career, however 2021 was one of the most challenging of Mission Hill's 40 years due to extreme heat and climactic conditions; many wines are limited due to low yields. I'd say this 2021 rose fared well for such a tough year. Also, all top tiers of Mission Hill's Wines are now certified organic.
Pale dusty pink it features sweet ruby grapefruits and mandarin orange aromas punctuated with strawberry jellies and honeydew melon. Tangy cherry and cranberry flavours are underscored by more pink grapefruit. Juicy, buoyant, and quite joyful; a delicious rose.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Undressed.

Pale dusty pink it features sour cherry and dried strawberry aromas laced with wet stone, burnt honey, charred orange peels and vague salted notes. Dry and nervy it has lively zesty flavours and tart red fruits lining the palate; the finish is mouthwatering.

Mission Hill Family Estate Reserve Rose, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Crisp, bouncy, watermelon.
Now with three tiers of rose wines, Mission Hill's reserve tier blush is made from Merlot, Shiraz and Pinot Noir grown mostly in Osoyoos, but partially from Oliver.
While it doesn't touch the more premium Brigadier's Bluff Rose, it is a pale rose that is juicy and redolent with red berries, peach stone and watermelon aromas. It's crisp and bouncy, precise and very dry. It's light bodied and mouthwatering, with a medium finish.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Undressed.

Mission Hill Family Estate Reserve Rose, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Jubilant, fragrant, blushing.
Now with three tiers of rose wines, Mission Hill's reserve tier blush is made from almost equal parts Merlot and Shiraz with a splash of Pinot Noir from estate vineyards in Osoyoos and Oliver.
While it's not as complex as the premium Border Vista Rose, it is more approachable. Expect a blushing apricot-pink with aromas of ruby grapefruit and oodles of strawberry, cherry blossoms, stone fruits, faint spice and vanilla. It has a kiss of sweetness and loads of juicy, high-toned fruit. A jubilant and delicious rose with structure to boot.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Undressed.

Mission Hill Family Estate Winery 'Simes Vineyard' Pinot Noir, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Potent, fragrant, persistent.
Part of Mission Hill's single site Terroir Collection, this new single clone (667) Pinot comes from the Simes Vineyard in East Kelowna.
The nose is potent; expect black raspberry and vanilla, bacon fat and oak spice, cedar chips and dried roses atop rainforest floor. The palate follows suit with good power; it doles out ripe berry flavours layered with smoked spices and cocoa. Fresh on the entry it culminates in a peppery and savoury finish.
