Singular, slick, savoury.
Another memorable Pinot Blanc from Heidi Noble, this vintage offers waxy notes along with white and yellow crunchy fruits, along with wild honey. The palate mimics the nose with beeswax, forest floor and savoury and salty flavours. Singular and slick.
Pair with spicy dishes, pork, fresh summery Asian dishes or strong cheeses.

JoieFarm Riesling, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Peach, honeyed, concentrated.
This is not your typical BC Riesling - JoieFarm heads down a different path with a slightly oxidative character.
Expect a deeper golden colour and notes of peach jam, honey, bread dough, apple sauce, white blossoms and orange peel. The palate is rich and honeyed with a creamy texture and impressive concentration (as always) The finish is sweet and long with a somewhat phenolic texture.

Josef Chromy Pinot Noir, Tasmania Australia
Readers rated this wine:
One of the rare offerings we see on a regular basis from Tasmania, the Joseph Chromy supplies this delicious and elegant cool climate Pinot.
The nose is an alluring mix of black raspberry, red cherries and currents that mingle with a potpouri of dried violets and cedar, star anise and then smoked, savoury undertones. A fresh style with very good focus, excellent acidity and seductive texture. It also has excellent persistence and flavours of cocoa and baking spice on the finish.

Kingston Estate Petit Verdot, South Australia, 2010
Readers rated this wine:

Some days (especially in the winter) I think there's just not enough decadent single varietal Petit Verdot around. Australia handles it well and here is a tasty example. It's a fruit-bomb (no denying) with blueberry, black raspberry, chocolate, vanilla and savoury toasted spice. It's chewy and full in the mouth. Flavours of sweet purple and black fruit are layered with brown spice, and roasted coffee beans.
A wine for grilled beef, roast and mature cheeses.

Consistently on-point, this vintage doles out stewed yellow apples, ripe pear and marzipan with honey, white raisins, lemon meringue and acacia blossoms.
