Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars Estate Cuvee Chardonnay, Okangan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Classic, supple, lemony.
Blue Mountain's 2022 four clone blend of Chardonnays (76, 95, 96, 548) was fermented using native (to the estate) yeasts and was aged 14 months in a mix of new-and-up-to three-year-old French oak barrels.
It has grilled lemon and yellow fruit aromas mixed with buttered toast, roasted spice, acacia and hazelnut aromas. It has a classic Chablis-like character, a supple weight and lightly creamy texture with notable acidity and a toasted, citrus and coriander flavours. The finish is long and slick.

Creamy, cohesive, fresh.
The 2019 vintage of Blue Mountain's estate cuvee Chardonnay doles out grilled lemons and roasted hazelnuts, toasted spice, browned butter, warm yellow apples and vanilla aromas. It has a creamy entry and lovely lemony flavours. Concentrated, classic and cohesive it shows freshness and length with toasted spice trailing on the finish.

Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars Estate Cuvee Gamay Noir, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:

Savoury, silky, classic.
Located above Vaseaux Lake in Okanagan Falls, Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars was established five decades ago.
Their wines have a very classic, honest character and they are stay true to their roots.
The 2022 Gamay (it's been four years since I've tasted this wine) was hand harvested and had an 18 day maceration. It was aged in neutral oak barrels for 12 months then bottled and cellared another six months.
Notes of beet greens and tealeaf are layered with small red berries, earth, fine spices and charred licorice. It's a fresh wine, classic, silky and fresh with savoury undertoness. Stylish and medium-bodied, it has a juicy finish.
Pair: cedar planked salmon, pork tenderloin with berry sauces, grilled chicken, chorizo or soft, washed rind cheeses.
