'Veedha' Douro, Portugal
Readers rated this wine:
Earthy, fresh, tangy.
Made by Sogevinus from a blend of red Douro varieties the Veedha (which means, life) offers Crushed red berries, szechuan peppercorns, cocoa, dark earth and nutty undertones. The palate is leaner than previous vintages but still solid; spice, tealeaf and tangy red fruit flavours lead to a cocoa finish.
Good value, a definite food wine.

Supple, bountiful, generous.
Made by Sogevinus from a blend of red Douro varieties the Veedha (which means, life) is offers bountiful aromas of sweet cherries, coffee liqueur, sarsaparilla, chocolate covered plus and exotic spices. Supple texture, with oodles of wild berry flavours dusted with cocoa and tossed back with espresso. Nice complexity and value, with attractive slick weight and overall good balance.

Bodega La Rural 'La Vuelta' Malbec, Mendoza Argentina
Readers rated this wine:
Fresh, juicy, charming.
A sibling to the La Vuelta Syrah, this Malbec is made in a large production facility and only sees stainless steel to preserve freshness.
Red currents and salted licorice, dark cocoa and wild herbal notes lead to a juicy young wine with red berries and grape-y flavours. Just as expressed on the label, it's a charming little red that is better with a slight chill.

Bodega La Rural 'La Vuelta' Syrah, Mendoza Argentina
Readers rated this wine:
A sibling to the equally well-priced Malbec, this Syrah is extremely good value.
Sumptuous and sweet on the nose; vanilla, chocolate, wild forest berries, sarsaparilla, violets and sweet peppery spice. The palate is concentrated and has a glycerol weight. The flavours jive with its aromas it is potent and rich with dark mocha and fleur de sel on the finish. Powerful with a medium-long finish.
A wine for hearty dishes.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Olive Oil & Cracked Pepper

Domaine Zinck Pinot Blanc, Alsace France
Readers rated this wine:

Domaine Zinck produces delicious Alsatian varietal wines at good prices.
This Pinot Blanc is one of my favourites and leads with aromas of yellow apples, apricots, orange blossoms, honey and citrus with a hint of smoke and mineral. A wonderful weight on the tongue carries similar flavours of mineral, smoke, orchard fruits and lively citrus. A stylish wine with good length to pair with oily fish, roast chicken, or a smoked cheese and caramelized onion tart.
