Part of the Montes portfolio, this Kaiken Ultra is an outstanding line (there is also a Malbec) made from grapes harvested from high altitude vineyards in the Uco Valley (Chacayes, Altamira, Gualtallary) and it was aged 12 months in French oak.
Black current aromas are layered with leather, tealeaf, vanilla, baking spices and hints of menthol. Overarching high-toned and juicy purple berry flavours meld with spice and tobacco. Balanced and fleshy with a long smooth finish, this us a red for grilling, hearty pastas, veggie burgers or stews, rich bean dishes or roasted mushrooms.

Part of the Montes portfolio, this Kaiken Ultra is an outstanding single vineyard Malbec offering black cherries, wild black berries, vanilla, violets, licorice, baking spices and roasted herbs. It is seamlessly constructed; generous black/purple berries, espresso, star anise and clove flavours lead to a chocolaty finish. A powerful, wine with impressive freshness and integrated sweet tannins.

Part of the Montes portfolio, this Kaiken Ultra is an outstanding Malbec in a sea of quality sameness.
Blackberries and leather, spiced mocha and licorice, grilled herbs and dried violet aromas dominate the nose. It is a seamlessly constructed wine; sweet black berries, espresso, star anise and spice flavours lead to a chocolaty finish. A powerful, bordering on brooding red with excellent concentration, impressive freshness and textural but fine grape tannins.

Impressive, toasted, muscular.
Part of the Montes portfolio, this Kaiken Ultra is an outstanding Malbec made from grapes harvested from high altitude vineyards in the Uco Valley (Chacayes, Altamira, Gualtallary) and it was aged 12 months in French oak.
Savoury aromas abound; small wild black berries, carob, charred spice and peppercorns, tobacco, leather, dried herbs and a hint of paprika are expressed on the nose. The palate entry is supple; it is a full-bodied red with power and persistence. Muscular but fresh it trails toasted spice and charred cherry flavours.

Generous, supple, intense.
Made by the family Montes of Chile, Kaiken comes from Mendoza estates located in Agrelo and Vistalba.
It is a luscious offering of cassis and mint, vanilla, violets, mocha and baking spice aromas. Supple in weight with good posture and excellent Cabernet character. It is glycerol slick and intense, ripe and opulent, with a lengthy finish.
Good value.
