Dynamic, juicy, expressive.
Burrowing Owl's Viognier was aged entirely in French oak, 75% new and 25% one-year-old.
A fresh nose suggests lime and apricots, smoked spice and bee pollen, ginger biscuits, wildflowers and pink grapefuit. It's fresh and citrusy, balanced and spicy. It has a fleshy character with lovely concentration and creaminess, notable length and zesty apple-y peach finish.
Dynamic and delicious.
Pair: Spicy crab cakes, Moroccan dishes, saucy ribs.

This wine not only introduced me to British Columbian Pinot Gris but also had me enamored with it when I first tasted it in the late 1990s. It's still a thrill to drink with its floral and tropical aromas of guava, young pineapple and banana with honeysuckle and tangerine. It has a lovely texture and a fresh palate is dominated by citrus flavours, which fold into tropical fruit, lime and green pears.
Pair with spicy crab cakes, mushroom based dishes or poached salmon in lemon sauce.

Approachable, fresh, spiced.
An approachable blend of 50% Merlot with 41% Cab Franc and the rest Merlot that delivers plummy aromas woven with cocoa, tobacco, smoked spice-rubbed meat and fresh turned soil. It's fresh and straightforward with oodles of currents, tobacco, spice and leather flavours. An everyday dinner red for BBQ, hearty pastas, pizza, grilled eggplant or mushrooms.

Fresh, levity, spiced.
A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, the Calliope 2020 delivers wild berries and cedar aromas, spice, tobacco, red plums and cocoa. It has a fresh palate with lively red fruit flavours along with tealeaf, peppery spices and coffee. Medium-bodied with nice levity, the finish has an edge. .

Savoury, chew spiced.
A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, the Calliope leads with dusty plums and blackberry, wet brick, burlap, and charred spices with sooty undertones. There is a lack of fruit expression in the mouth, it's mostly earthy and sooty with cedar, tobacco and a hint of wild red berry. Medium-bodied it has distincly savoury undertones and a chewy finish.
An everyday dinner red for BBQ, hearty pastas, pizza, grilled eggplant or mushrooms.
