Wynns Coonawarra Estate Chardonnay, Coonawarra Australia, 2009
Readers rated this wine:

The Wynns Estate was founded in 1891 by pioneer John Riddoch and later purchased by Samuel and David Wynn in 1951.
The Chardonnay offers tropical notes layered with buttered toast, mineral and fresh citrus. It has an attractive richness on the palate with sweet pear, melon and pineapple spiked with toasted spice flavours. followed by a lingering, juicy finish.
Pair with roast chicken, or a smoked cheddar grilled cheese sandwich.

Woollaston Sauvignon Blanc, Nelson New Zealand, 2010
Readers rated this wine:

A mouth-watering wine with wonderful concentration, this Woollaston Savvy comes from the northern, South Island region of Nelson.
Attractive tropical notes, with gooseberry, elderflower, capsicum and nettle with plenty of citrus. Those aromas translate onto the palate - it has a lovely weight and potency but is still very lively. The finish is long and flavourful.
Delicious!

Young & Wyse Collection Merlot, Okanagan Valley BC, 2010
Readers rated this wine:

A very enjoyable Merlot, which offers black cherry, raspberry and plummy notes sorrounded by vanilla, sweet black coffee, dried herbs and cocoa. The palate is smooth and fresh with similar cherry, vanilla and coffee flavours spiked with licorice, the finish is lengthy.
A red you could pair with burgers and wings or with a round of creamy Camembert.

Eroica Riesling, Columbia Valley Washington USA, 2010
Readers rated this wine:

This elegant Riesling is a combined effort between Washington's Chateau Ste. Michelle and Germany's respected Loosen Brothers (aka Dr. L wines).
Wonderfully scented with sweet apricot and peach notes, marmalade and honeysuckle. The palate is mouth-watering.... Expect a lovely concentration of vibrant grapefruit and stonefruit flavours followed with a long zesty finish. It's off-dry but perfectly balanced with cleansing acidity.
It's a romantic wine - it will pair well with rich cream sauces, curry or soft cheeses but also sushi or white meats.

Always a solid value, everyday dinner red with plenty of savoury characteristics.
Expect spiced blackberries and black currents, rich dark chocolate and earth with tobacco notes. The palate offers enticing dark berries, bittersweet chocolate and toasted, peppery spices. There's good concentration here, it is a substantial red with bright acidity to pair with hearty pastas, grilled meats or bean chile.

Peller Estates Private Reserve Syrah, Okanagan Valley BC, 2009
Readers rated this wine:

The warm 2009 vintage shows in this potent Syrah, harvested from both the Similkameen and Okanagan Valleys.
Gobs of spicy black fruit, bramble berries, rich espresso mocha and sweet brown spices. The palate is supple but fresh with concentrated dark fruit, molasses and toasted spice woven around a savoury core of smoked meat and peppery flavours.
Great Syrah typicity and it hides the nearly 15% alcohol well.
Recommended pairings: aged cheddar or aged goats cheese or braised meats

Stoneboat Pinot Noir, Okanagan Valley BC, 2009
Readers rated this wine:

Grown on the rocky, calcium rich benches of the Black Sage, south of Oliver, this fabulous Pinot Noir leads with sweet red berry and cherry aromas followed with peppery spice, vanilla, finely toasted oak and wild herbs. The palate is fresh and juicy with a silky texture and similar red fruit, toasted spice and cedary flavours. The finish is long and concentrated, it has lovely structure and excellent Pinosity - well done!

Graffingna Centenario Pinot Grigio Reserve, San Juan Argentina, 2011
Readers rated this wine:

The Centenario range of Graffigna's wines pays tribute to the 100th anniversary of the winery, which was founded by Santiago Graffigna in 1870. It never fails to make me thirsty, the fresh clean palate is very satisfying and the price is too!
Aromas of sweet, juicy pears, citrus and honeysuckle lead to a zingy and zesty palate with impressive concentration and plenty of spicy white fruit. The finish is juicy and has nice length with bright peachy, honey flavours trailing across the finish.
